Timing Is Everything

Summary

We don’t have unlimited opportunities to respond to Jesus Christ. It’s time to turn ourselves around and be faithful and fruitful.

If you want to make your days happier, healthier and more lucrative, all you need to do is get on the right schedule — a schedule provided by Kathy Benjamin in the pages of Mental Floss magazine:

  • At 8:30 a.m., you should Decide Something. Researchers have found that we make our best decisions right after we wake up. Later in the day, we suffer from “decision fatigue” and make the quicker or easier decision.

  • At 10 a.m., Take an Aspirin. Mornings are the most common time for both heart attacks and migraines. A daily aspirin could ward off pain or even save your life.

  • 2 p.m. is the right time to Take a Power Nap. Not now, during the worship service — 2:00 in the afternoon! Australian researchers have found that a 10-minute power nap is the best way to fight the mid-afternoon slump.

  • At 4:30, you should Clean the House. Late afternoon is when your hand-eye coordination is highest. At 5 p.m., you should Get Some Exercise. Your body temperature peaks at around 5, which increases your stamina and strength.

  • ...approximately 1,710 words remaining. You are not logged in. Please see options at the top of this page to view complete sermon.
